Perfect calm (December 6, 2011)
What a contrast – a year ago today, we were enduring 100km winds, the highest tide of the year and the biggest waves in living memory. Today, perfect calm, a gentle snow and the Gardens enveloped in a blanket of pure white. The only movement – squirrels racing about in a frantic blitz to collect their last nuts for the winter, or perhaps childishly enjoying the first snow fall.
The first snow puts us all in the mood for Christmas. It is not too late for you to purchase a garden product for a Christmas stocking or a house gift. Pierre-Olivier Ferry did a record business over the weekend at the Marché des Saveurs in Rimouski with our line of gourmet products. The best-seller? – the Dailily Buds , followed by Blueberry and Lavender Spread, just two of the 8 products available for purchase.
